Viola Macey Haught, 91, of Plum Run, passed away Wednesday (March 6, 2013) at her home.
She was born Dec. 21, 1921, in Plum Run, a daughter of the late Jacob G. “Jake” and Ola Virginia Lough Haught.
She was a graduate of Farmington High School Class of 1940 and Fairmont Business College.
Viola was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She was a member of Plum Run Methodist Church. Her sweet smile and her kind and gentle ways will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Haught Parker of Wooster, Ohio; nieces and their spouses, Linda and Jim Hyde of Enterprise, Sandy and Dallas Heldreth of Flat Run, Donna Fluharty, Sharon and Jr. Byard, Lorna Toothman and David Chappell, all of Plum Run, Mary and Dave Merillat and Joyce and Bill Tomassetti, all of Wooster, Ohio; four nephews and their spouses, Roger and Mary Fluharty, Randy and Cathy Fluharty, all of Plum Run, Bob and Kathy Haught of Vancouver, Wash., and John and Daysil Haught of Dayton, Ohio; and several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Viola was preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law, Helen I. and Joseph R. Fluharty; one brother, Jacob N. “Dick” Haught; and three nephews, Alan R. Fluharty, Stanley H. Toothman and Eric E. Murphy.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Hyde, Frank Heldreth, Chuck Byard, Rick Fluharty, Joe Toothman, Russell Toothman and Eric E. Murphy.
Viewing will be Friday from 4-9 p.m. at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington. Funeral services will be Saturday at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Pastor Richard Fluharty officiating, followed with graveside services and burial at Myers Cemetery on Plum Run.
