Helen Marie Cinelli, 88, of Fairmont (Bellview Community), died Tuesday morning (Feb. 5, 2013) at Fairmont General Hospital.
She was born July 24, 1924, in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Joseph James and Anna Gallucci Cinelli.
She traveled extensively, visiting around 25 countries and traveling throughout the United States. Helen was an avid West Virginia University football and basketball fan, and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with her family, neighbors and friends. Helen was very helpful to her family and friends.
She is survived by her sister, Linda Cinelli of Fairmont; her dear friends, Eleanor and Roy Mullenax; and the St. Peter the Fisherman Church family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Josie, Virgil, Gene and Joseph Jr.; her paternal grandparents, Giovanni and Chilestina Cinelli; and maternal grandparents, Pietro and Consiglia Gallucci.
Friends may call at Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Ave., Fairmont, from 3-8 p.m. today. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday with Father Robert Perriello as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens. A vigil service will be led by Deacon David Lester at 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Peter the Fisherman Church, 407 Jackson St., Fairmont, WV 26554; or a favorite charity of choice.
