Shirley Wilson

Shirley Jean Wilson, 72, of Four States, passed away Tuesday (Jan. 29, 2013) at her residence.  

She was born in Spelter on Dec. 23, 1940, a daughter of the late Earnest and Rose Isabelle Johnson.  

On Dec. 21, 1958 she married Earl Howard Wilson, who survives her.  

Also surviving are one daughter, Tammie Lynn Bock and her husband William of Shinnston; one son, Earl H. Wilson Jr. and his wife Doris of Newburg; two grandchildren, Leanna Marie Wilson and Daniel Lee Wilson, both of Mannington; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Michal Johnson and his wife Esther of Spelter; four sisters, Waneta DeBlossio of Shinnston, Mary Glaspell and her husband James of Spelter, Patty Kupfner of Meadowbrook, and Flo Campbell of Clarksburg; several nieces and nephews; her special friend, Margaret Vance of Shinnston; and her godchild, Shirley Jean Crislip.  

She also was preceded in death by one brother, Earnest Johnson Jr.  

Shirley was a homemaker and loved being surrounded by her family.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Hospice Care and all her other caretakers, Terry Morgan and Sharon Crowler and their families.

Friends may call at Perine Funeral Home, U.S. 19 South, Shinnston, from 2-8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday with Father Thomas Dagle officiating. Interment will be in Lions Club Cemetery at Lumberport.
