Clarence Rogers

Clarence Leon Rogers, 72, of Mannington, passed away Sunday (Jan. 20, 2013) at his residence.

He was born Oct. 21, 1940 in Wyatt, a son of the late Ralph Day Rogers and Genevieve Currence Rogers.

He is survived by his stepson, Tony Romano of Texas; five brothers and sisters, Roy Rogers and wife Bonnie of Wetzel County, Judy Scott of Mannington, Lloyd Rogers of Mannington, Everett Rogers and wife Velvie of Wetzel County, and Patty Rogers of Mannington; two sisters-in-law, Linda Rogers of Mannington and Wimpy Rogers of Weirton; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by his stepmother, Rachel Rogers; his wife, Rose Romano Rogers; and two brothers, Dale Rogers and Gary Rogers.

When his health permitted, Clarence enjoyed hunting. He also enjoyed listening to music. He was a veteran.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bill Coon officiating. Burial will follow at Whetstone Cemetery.
