Mary Kathryn Kaiser, 84, of Bridgeport, passed away on Friday (Jan. 4, 2013) at the Meadows at Maplewood in Bridgeport.
She was born on Sept. 1, 1928, in Fairmont, to the late John William and Iva Kathryn Frum Simpson. Also preceding her in death were her loving husband, John Peter Kaiser, and her sister, Martha Louise Shaver.
Mary is survived by her nephews, John “Pete” Loss and his wife Judy, and Donald William “Bill” Loss and his wife Deborah; niece, Jennifer Nay and her husband John T., all of Adamsville; nine great-nephews and nieces, Hannibal, Matthew, Edward, Angela, Megan, Stacy, Ben and Christa Loss and Courtney Nay; as well as several great-great-nieces and nephews.
Mary graduated from East Fairmont High School in 1946 and from Fairmont State College in 1950. She was employed by Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad Co. and the FBI as secretary to the president from 1950 to 1954.
She served as bookkeeper and secretary to the registrar at Fairmont State College from 1947 to 1950. Mary was a member of the League of Women Voters and Bridge Club. She loved animals. She was a Methodist.
