Ethel Murdock

Ethel Jeannine Murdock, of Biloxi, Miss., was 72 when she passed away Friday (July 20, 2012) at her residence.

Mrs. Murdock was born Aug. 30, 1939 in Fairmont. She was a retired civil service employee, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, MSgt. Chester D. Murdock, U.S. Air Force (retired), and his parents, Harold Wayne Hibbs and Halie Tocie Satterfield Hibbs.

She is survived by her children, Gordon D. (Millie) Murdock of New Orleans, La., and Deborah J. Murdock of Biloxi, Miss.; her brothers, James Odes (Lois) Hibbs and Donald Wayne (Nancy) Hibbs, all of Fairmont; and grandchildren, Megan A. Murdock (Jorge) Llorens, Layla Llorens and Lucie Llorens, all of New Orleans, La. She also had one great-grandchild, Claire A. Salminen.

Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, with the funeral service following at 5 p.m., all at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi. Interment next to her husband will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Biloxi National Cemetery.
