Betty Hunsaker

Betty Mae Hunsaker, 57, of Kingmont, passed from this life Thursday (Nov. 15, 2012) at the Weirton Medical Center after a long illness.

She was born in Fairmont on Sept. 29, 1955, a daughter of Julia Eckles Broll of Fairmont and the late Lewis Eugene Broll.

Betty was a Christian by faith. She had worked with handicapped children through the A.R.C. program and with the Special Olympics for 27 years. She was a loving and giving person who was very personable and liked by everyone she met. She will be missed by many.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Hunsaker is survived by her loving daughter and caregiver, Esther Hinkle, whose home she shared; her husband of 14 years, Frank Hunsaker; one sister and brother-in-law, Sharon, who also served as her caregiver, and Mike Kosut of Weirton; her niece, Sherrie Rice and her husband Josh, her nephew, Lewis Morgan, great-niece, Emmy Moore, and great-nephew, Caleb Markley, all of Fairmont; her aunt and uncle, Opal and Charles Benson of Michigan; her uncle, Raymond Eckles of Canton, Ohio; several cousins; and her good friends, Liz and Mike Wolfe of Fairmont.

Betty’s family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to: Headstone Fund c/o Frey Home For Funerals, PO Box 895, Fairmont, WV 26555.

Friends may call at Frey Home For Funerals (Addition Chapel A), 320 Madison St., Fairmont, from noon to 2 p.m. today. Services will be held in the funeral home at 2 p.m. today with the Rev. Melvin Ringer officiating. Interment will follow at Brumage Cemetery.
