Mary E. McClure

Mary E. McClure, 94, of Wana, died Friday (March 1, 2013) in the Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown.

She was born June 23, 1918, at Wana, a daughter of the late Isaac Stiles and Creasie Cross Stiles.

Mrs. McClure was a homemaker.

Mary was a member of the Wana United Methodist Church and the Golden Glow Rebekah Lodge No. 299 of Wadestown.

Surviving are three sons and their spouses, John and Janice McClure of Miracle Run, Carl McClure of Mannington and Harold McClure of Wana; one daughter and her spouse, Sue and Jack Wilson of Wana; seven grandchildren, Janette McClure, Jeff McClure, Jason McClure, Robert Wilson, Bobby McClure, Melissa Ruckle and James McClure; and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. McClure was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert E. McClure, who died Nov. 17, 1971; one brother, James Hendershot; and one sister, Mildred Thornton.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 6-9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Steve Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Wadestown Cemetery.
