Annabelle Alkire Reppert, 90, of Briarwood Terrace, passed away Wednesday afternoon (Feb. 20, 2013) in the Tygart Center in Fairmont.
She was born May 29, 1922, in Ireland, daughter of the late Alva and Georgia Andrews Alkire.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Reppert Jr., who died in 2004.
Mrs. Reppert was a member of First Baptist Church in Fairmont. She was a graduate of Fairmont State College, having attended West Virginia Wesleyan College. She retired from Owens-Illinois in Fairmont with 20 years of service as the personnel director.
She later was employed with the Marion County Board of Education as a substitute teacher in both Marion and Harrison counties. She truly enjoyed supporting her husband, Bill, in all his sporting and coaching activities.
Mrs. Reppert was a member of the Fairmont Field Club, enjoying many activities including golf as she won local and state championships.
Survivors include her son, Scott Reppert, who lived in Fairmont.
Friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont from 5-8 p.m. today and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday with Apostle Joe Perozich officiating.
A private family committal will follow at a later time in Woodlawn Cemetery in Fairmont.
The family requests that all memorial donations be made to the MFC Ministries, 300 Highland Ave., Morgantown, WV, 26505.
