Dalton Ray Wilson, 18, of Pleasant Valley Road, Fairmont, passed away early Saturday morning (July 14, 2012) in his home.
He was born Dec. 15, 1993 in Morgantown, son of Rick and Yvette Smith Wilson of Pleasant Valley.
Dalton attended Fairmont Free Methodist Church. He was a graduate of East Fairmont High School, where he was active in basketball and football. Dalton truly enjoyed riding motorcycles, and was active in dirt bike racing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his niece Kinley.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his sister, Jossi White of Fairmont; his niece, Kinley Rae Opas of Fairmont; several aunts and uncles, Terra Simmons of Fairmont, Kevin and Cheryl Smith of Fairmont, Mark and Yvonne Wilson of Huntington, and Larry Simmons of Fairmont; and several cousins, Korey, Kara, Kody, Kolby, MaKena and Troy Smith, Cameron and Tanner Simmons, and Brannon Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Allen and Bobetta Smith and Raymond and Ida Lou Wilson.
Dalton requested cremation services. His family will greet friends at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. today with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Dalton Wilson Memorial Fund, 1506 Pleasant Valley Road, Fairmont, WV 26554.
