Mary E. Belcastro, 91, of Fairmont, died Tuesday evening (Feb. 26, 2013) in Naples, Fla. She was born on March 13, 1921, in Fairmont, daughter of the late Nicola and Vincenza Celi.
Mary retired from the Owens-Illinois glass plant and had worked in the selecting department. She was a volunteer at Fairmont General Hospital and was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and was a former member of the church guild. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Jenny Belcastro and Ronald and Carol Belcastro, all of Naples, Fla. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Kimberley Belcastro Dillon and Christy Belcastro. She is also survived by two sisters, Angie Marcozzi and Rose Oliveto, both of Fairmont.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Belcastro, in 1995, and two brothers-in-law, Benny Marcozzi and James Oliveto.
Friends may call at Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Ave., Fairmont, on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Fr. Robert A. Perriello as Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
A vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
