Trevah Alberta Harris, 86, of Fairmont, passed away Tuesday (Feb. 26, 2013) at the John Manchin Sr. Healthcare Center.
She was born May 22, 1926, in Beverly, daughter of the late Rev. E.O. McLaughlin and the late Alta (Daniels) McLaughlin.
Trevah was employed for many years as a waitress at Sixth Street Pharmacy in Fairmont. She was a former member of the Christ United Methodist Church and later the Fellowship Baptist Church. One of her favorite hobbies was square dancing.
She is survived by two children, Marilyn Sue Brunett and husband Donald of Fairmont and John Richard Harris and wife Bonnie, also of Fairmont; seven grandchildren, Chip Brunett and wife Stacey, Amy Thompson and husband Butch, Patrick Smith and wife Erin, John D. Harris, Chad Brunett and wife Heather, Rebecca Neely and husband Danny and Crystal Garrett and husband Steve; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Alonzo Harris; a daughter, Jinny Smith; four brothers and two sisters.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont, from 1-8 p.m. Thursday and 1-2 p.m. Friday. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Bob Barker officiating. Interment will follow at the Bridgeport Cemetery.
