Joyce A. (Warder) Kisner, 58, of Route 3, Bridgeport, passed away Tuesday (March 12, 2013) at her residence after a lengthy illness and then went to be with her Lord and Savior to continue her celebration of life.
She was born Feb. 23, 1955, in Grafton, a daughter of Floren S. Warder and the late Constance D. “Connie” (McProuty) Warder.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Stephen R. Kisner; one sister, Diane Warder of Grafton; one brother, Doug Warder and wife Angela, also of Grafton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald and Jean Kisner of Bridgeport; three brothers-in-law, Mark Kisner, Arlie and wife Pam, and Barry and wife Dawn; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many friends.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Nancy Kisner.
Joyce was a former Taylor County 4-H extension agent and also worked for the Taylor County Board of Education as a B.A.S.E. (nutrition) teacher at Taylor County Middle School. She was a very active member of Galilean Baptist Church in White Hall, and she brightened the lives of all who knew her.
The family will receive friends at Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton from 2-8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at Galilean Baptist Church (Jaynes Drive in White Hall) at noon Saturday with Pastor Jon Stitzel officiating. Interment will follow at Cleremont Cemetery off Dean Drive in White Hall. Mrs. Kisner will lie in state at the church from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at noon.
