Robert Ogden II

Robert Allen Ogden II, 41, of Barrackville, passed away Friday (March 8, 2013) at Fairmont General Hospital.

He was born May 21, 1971 in Waynesburg, Pa., a son of Robert Allen Ogden Sr. and Faith Brand Ogden of Camden.

Mr. Ogden was a 1989 graduate of Lewis County High School, a 1993 graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, and a 2005 graduate of WVU with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and a master’s degree in software engineering. He worked for TAD GPS Inc. as a software engineer.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 11 years, Regina J. Cunningham Ogden of Barrackville; his brother, John Ogden and his wife Michelle of Pittsburgh; his sister, Laurel Martin and her husband Stephen of Deltona, Fla.; uncles and aunts, Dr. Gerald and Shirley Ogden of Bridgeport, Tom and Willa Brand of Bridgeport, and Bob and Valarie Ranagan of Reading, Pa.; a niece, Katherine Virginia Martin; a nephew, Lane Rhys Ogden; his in-laws, David and Amy Cunningham of Barrackville; as well as several special friends, Jim Johnson of Smithfield, Pa., Joseph, Jeni and Tannem Danes of San Antonio, Texas, Laurana Aguilar of Pittsburg, Brian, Angel and Nathaniel Knutson of Weirton, and Jack Connolly of Fairmont.

Mr. Ogden was preceded in death by his infant sister, Michelle Elaine Ogden.

The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Marvin Frankhouser officiating. Following the funeral service, a graveside service will be held at Shinnston Masonic Cemetery.
