John William Wells, 58, of Center Street, Fairmont, passed away Tuesday (Oct. 30, 2012) in his residence.
He was born Aug. 2, 1954 in Marion County, son of the late Harold William and Barbara Petrucci Wells.
Mr. Wells was a Catholic by faith. He was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School. Mr. Wells served in the U.S. Air Force as sergeant first class. He was stationed in Japan during the Vietnam era. He was presently active as a landlord with rental property in the Fairmont area. He was earlier employed in construction work in Maryland.
Survivors include his sister, Phyllis Wells of Fairmont; an aunt and uncle, Mike and Mary Lou Wells of Fairmont; and several cousins including Debbie Hoy of Marion County and David Wells of Fairmont.
He also will be missed by his pet, Sam.
Mr. Wells has chosen cremation services. The Wells family will greet friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Pastor George Batten officiating.
