Margaret Martino

Margaret A. Martino, 83, of Bridgeport, passed away Sunday (Feb. 10, 2013).

She was born in Anmoore on Nov. 22, 1929, a daughter of the late Cosmo and Rosa Lizzi Fragmin. Her husband, David V. Martino, preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 2002.

Mrs. Martino is survived by three sons, David F. Martino and wife, Mary Beth, of Clarksburg, Gary J. Martino and wife, Donna, of Bridgeport, and Robert V. Martino and wife, Lori, of Bridgeport; one daughter, Rosemary Martino of Bridgeport; 10 grandchildren, David Martino Jr. and fiancée Jenna Elder, John Martino, Maria Martino, Sam Martino, Whitney Martino, Taylor Martino, Kobe Martino, Clay Martino, Sophia Martino and Gianna Martino; and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Carlo, Dominick and Guy Fragmin; and three sisters, Katherine “Kitty” Page, Teresa Manown and Dorothy Folio.

Margaret was a homemaker and her greatest enjoyment was the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She was a Catholic by faith and member of Immaculate Conception Parish. She was a loving and devoted mother and wife.

Family and friends may call at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison St., Nutter Fort, from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday. There will be a prayer service at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Wednesday. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 126 E. Pike St., Clarksburg, at 10 a.m. Thursday with Father Casey Mahone as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
