John McGee Wyckoff, 63, of Fairmont, died Friday (Feb. 8, 2013) at the Arbors at Fairmont Nursing Home in Fairmont.
He was born March 24, 1949, in Clarksburg, a son of William Manley Wyckoff and Betty Jane McGee Wyckoff of Fairmont.
He is survived by a brother and sister in law, Robert W. and Vickie Wyckoff of Fairmont; two nieces, Cindy Rowlands and her husband Llyr Rowlands of Richmond, Va., and Nicole Wyckoff of Fairmont; a nephew, Jonathan Wyckoff of Richmond, Va.; two great-nieces, Efa Rowlands and Nia Rowlands, both of Richmond, Va.; and several cousins, including William Haynes of Clarksburg.
John was Presbyterian by faith and a 1967 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School. He attended Fairmont State College and played on the baseball team for three years. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially baseball.
The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, on Monday from 2-5 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rich Buonaiuto officiating. The committal service will follow in the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery in Shinnston.
