Howard Meredith

Howard Joseph Meredith, 85, went to be with his Savior on Friday (Dec. 14, 2012) in Daytona Beach Shores, Fla.

Joe was born in Monongah to Charlie and Jane Meredith.

He was a 1945 graduate of Monongah High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-46. He attended Fairmont State College and had a career with Exxon.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Radabaugh Meredith; children, Pam Meredith, Kathy Donaldson and Dr. Greg Donaldson, Judy Knisley, and Joe, Martha Horne and Chris and Joe Meredith. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill Meredith; and a sister, Patty Meredith Wills.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Jonathan Horne; a brother, Jack Meredith; and sisters, Bonnie Meredith, Delores Holt and Jean Riddle.

A memorial service was held at New Hope Baptist Church, Port Orange, Fla., on Jan. 10.
