Christina Conti

FAIRMONT — Christina Beth (Barr) Conti, 47, of Powder Springs, Ga., died Monday (Jan. 7, 2013) after a lengthy illness.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn Leora Barr of Pine Grove; and survived by her father, Burl Barr, also of Pine Grove; husband, Fred A. Conti and daughters Colleen Marie Conti and Jeanette Elizabeth Conti, all of Powder Springs, Ga., and daughter Amanda Nicole Barr of Morgantown; and her siblings, David Barr, Daniel Barr, Nicholas Barr, Kathy Barr, Mary Stewart and Kay Newlon.

Christina worked for years as an executive secretary for various firms, including Hardin Construction Corp. of Atlanta.

A devoted wife and mother, her favorite pastimes included reading, Web surfing, online tutoring and trips to the shore. She was especially proud of the academic achievements of her daughters.

Her charity work included regular contributions to Children International and the Atlanta Mission.

Letters and cards of condolence can be sent in care of Palmer Funeral Home, Pine Grove.

Friends will be received from 4-9 p.m. today at Palmer Funeral Home in Pine Grove. Funeral services will take place at noon Friday at Lowman Baptist Church. Interment at Yost Cemetery in Coburn will follow.
