Maggie Ruth Jones, 80, of Wyatt, passed away Wednesday (March 13, 2013) at Fairmont General Hospital.
She was born March 30, 1932, at Wyatt, a daughter of the late Golden Basel Eddy and Mary Elizabeth Talkington Eddy.
She is survived by four children, Herbert Jones and wife Mary Jane of Odells Knob, Brenda June Walls and husband Robert “Buster” of Wyatt, Howard Jones and wife Chastity of Wyatt, and James Golden Jones of Ices Run; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Shirley McDougal.
In addition to her parents, Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Roy Jones; one son, William Jones, who died at birth; and six brothers and sisters, Ray Eddy, Aletha Swiger, Wilbert Eddy, Gladys Villers, Clarence Eddy and Oliver Eddy, who died in infancy.
Maggie enjoyed working in the garden and canning food, and talking on the phone when she was able. She also enjoyed walking every day and doing house work.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Nuzem officiating. Burial will follow at Lumberport Cemetery.
