Jonathan Edmund Gernstl, 26, of Mannington, passed away Saturday (May 26, 2012) at Wetzel County Hospital as the result of an ATV accident.
He was born April 30, 1986 at Warsau, N.Y., a son of Michael Richard Gernstl of Mannington and Joyce C. Mitchell Ross of Arcade, N.Y.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancée, Jessica Reber of Mannington; one sister, Amy Gernstl of Mannington; a half-brother, Joseph Siegman of Buffalo, N.Y.; and two nieces, Saraya Gernstl of Mannington and Deysha.
He is also survived by several aunts, Heidi Gernstl, Sharon Mitchell and Vickie Efaw, all of Mannington; and several uncles, Tracy, Terry, Antom, Doug and Hans Gernstl. His grandmother, Ann Gernstl of Arcade, N.Y., also survives.
Jonathan was employed by Coastal Drilling. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and having cookouts with family and friends.
Friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, from 6-8 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Bill Coon officiating. Burial will follow at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
