Delmas Ray Sleeth, 70, of Fairview, died Friday (Nov. 30, 2012) at his residence.
He was born April 21, 1942, in Wellsville, Ohio, a son of the late Loran and Mary Edith Collins Sleeth.
Mr. Sleeth was a retired school teacher who taught auto mechanics at the United Technical Center in Gore. He graduated with a master’s degree from West Virginia University, was a master certified mechanic, a member of the NRA and loved to fish and hunt. He was also a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea and Germany.
Survivors include five sons, Kevin B. Sleeth and wife Roberta of Fairview, Steven Sleeth of California, Kenneth L. Sleeth and wife Donna of Grant Town, Kenneth W. Sleeth and wife Missy of Fairmont, and Dewayne Sleeth of Fairview; a daughter, Annette Sleeth-Sabatos of Fairview; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a brother, Jerry Sleeth and wife Mary of North Carolina; and a sister, Donna Keener and husband Bud of Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jean Dawson Sleeth, and a sister, June DeVault.
Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington on Monday from 6-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont where Marion County Veterans Council will conduct full military graveside honors.
