Frances Ball

Frances Marie Ball, 91, of Fairmont, passed away Sunday (Oct. 7, 2012) at Fairmont General Hospital in Fairmont.

She was born Sept. 3, 1921 in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Stephen Ross and Ida Minerva Shriver Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Ball, who passed away Sept. 27, 2000.

Mrs. Ball was a graduate of Barrackville High School and did retail work for approximately 10 years. Frances especially loved being a homemaker and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Ball is survived by three children, Charles Ronald Ball and his wife Evelyn of Fairmont, Sandra Anne Ball McQuain of Fairmont and Sheila Marie Ball Fleming of Fairmont; one brother, Ray Keith Wilson; one sister, Rebecca Pearl Stevens; and six grandchildren, Ronda Christine Cutrone and her husband Alfred, David Lawrence McQuain Jr. and his wife Pam, Charles William Ball and his wife Mandy, Cheryl Lynn Kinsey and her husband Jeb, Denise Marie Fleming and Joseph Patrick Fleming III. Mrs. Ball is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and a special friend to the family, Louis Fazio. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Doris Louise Wilson, Nellie Nadine Jarvis, Flora Mae Audia, Norma Imogene Ball and Patricia June Stump; brothers, Ralph Lynn Wilson and Robert Woodrow Wilson; and her son-in-law, David Lawrence McQuain.

The family of Mrs. Ball would like to give a special thanks to our wonderful family of caregivers, Heather Lettrick, Jessica Sedera, Bobbie Watton and Doris Keener.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Ball’s honor to Hillview Baptist Church, Route 8 Box 394C, Fairmont, WV 26554.

Friends and family may visit Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, from 4-9 p.m. today and from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Deacon Gary Sedera officiating. Interment will follow the service at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
