FAIRMONT — Herbert Rauer, 95, of Titusville, Fla., passed away Sunday (March 14, 2010) at the Parrish Medical Center in Titusville.
Herbert was born June 27, 1914, at Mount Pleasant, Pa., son of the late Max H. Rauer Sr. and Anna Ubach.
Herbert was a welder for Bethlehem Steel until he retired in the 1970s. He was Catholic by faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Jean Orsini; four grandchildren, Scott Orsini and wife Heather, Kelly Goff and husband Sean, Shawna Esposito, Tiffiney Suplita and husband Todd; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Sypult of Fairmont; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Herbert was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Blache Hawkins Rauer; daughter, Charlotte Esposito; three brothers, Billy, Max and Elmer Rauer; and a sister, Gertrude Horne.
Family and friends may call at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave., Fairmont from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Father John Mulcahy officiating. Burial will follow at Shinnston Masonic Cemetery.
