Cleo Yoak, 73, formerly of Mannington and Idamay, died Thursday (Nov. 29, 2012) at the St. Barbara’s Memorial Nursing Home in Monongah.
She was born April 24, 1939, at Robinson Run near Fairview, a daughter of the late Harland S. and Marie Michael.
Mrs. Yoak was a homemaker who enjoyed her family and grandchildren and her faith in God. She was an avid country music fan and a member of Three Crosses Ministries in Kellytown. She was formerly employed at Westinghouse in Fairmont.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Melanie Yoak of Irmo, S.C., and Robert “Bob” and Lee Ann Yoak of Idamay; three grandchildren, Stephanie Liles and husband Shaun of Lexington, S.C., and Justin and Jeremiah Yoak of Idamay; a great-granddaughter, Olivia Liles; two sisters: Beulah “Bitty” and Ted Luketic of Blairs, Va. and Virginia “Lou” and Eugene Lough of Rivesville; two brothers, David and Diane Michael of Rivesville and George and Mae Michael of Rivesville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Dale Yoak, who died July 20, 1999.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of St. Barbara’s and to Ronda and Kelci Haught, for their care and compassion during Cleo’s illness.
Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington today from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Keith Lewis officiating. Interment will be in the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery. Condolences may be extended at www.hutsonfuneralhomes.com.
