FAIRMONT — Barbara Jean Fulaytar, 80, a resident of the John Manchin Sr. Health Care Center, formerly of Broadway Street, Fairmont, died Tuesday morning in the health facility.
She was born Dec. 18, 1929, in Brady, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Konya Fitzer.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Howvalt, and her second husband, William Fulaytar.
Mrs. Fulaytar was a Catholic by faith. She earlier was employed by Fairmont General Hospital in the housekeeping department. She earlier lived with her second husband in Fairport Harbour, Ohio, for 24 years. She enjoyed sewing and reading and truly loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include: two daughters and their spouses, Sheila and Butch Egidi of Rivesville, and Donita and Joe Scott of Katy Community; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Kristina Egidi of Rivesville, Kevin and Georgia Egidi of Fairmont, Buddy Oliver of Katy and Crystal Oliver of Fairmont, Ronnie and Becky Butcher of Fairmont, Greg and Angie Scott of Fairmont, Wayne and Sandy Scott of Morgantown, and Mark and Moojin Scott of Ohio; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Emma Harki of Farmington; three special nephews, David Harki of Morgantown, Gary Harki of Idamay and Stephen Rakocky of Fairmont.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Rakocky; two brothers-in-law, Andy Harki and Steve Rakocky.
Mrs. Fulaytar has chosen cremation. A family memorial service will be held at a later date in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, has been entrusted with her arrangements.
