Frederick Mills

Frederick E. Mills, 69, of Canton, Ohio, passed away Thursday (Feb. 7, 2013) in Cleveland, Ohio.

He was born in Canton on Oct. 25, 1943, a son of the late Raymond and Lillian Mills.

Fred worked at AKRO (Collins and Aikman) for 17 years and Shoppers Fair for 10 years. He was a member of the 11th Street Church of God. He loved God and enjoyed trains and music.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Mills; and his siblings, Marge Fogle, Ruth (Marvin) McKenzie, David (Joyce) Mills, Carol Lantzer, Joyce Kager, Dwayne Mills and Beverly Mills.

Also surviving are his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Karen, Judy and Ruth Hewitt, Charles Hewitt Jr., Jack Hewitt, Ron and Sue Hewitt and Barbara McCune; very special close relatives, Christina, Kimberly and Ken Knight; and his pets, Brutus and Buffy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Texel and Charles Hewitt; and numerous other relatives.

Family and friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Randy Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow at Vincent Cemetery on Vinegar Hill in Marion County.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with final expenses c/o Rebecca Mills, 3653 Ira Circle, Canton, OH 44710.
