Mazie Mundell

Mazie Cathern “Jackie Fast” Mundell, 85, of Fairmont, passed away Thursday (Feb. 7, 2013) at the Tygart Center at Fairmont.

She was born in Fairmont on July 1, 1927, a daughter of the late David V. and Audra Daisy (Dixon) Fast.

Jackie was a loving homemaker and mother. She enjoyed taking care of her cats, shopping, eating out, playing cards and spending time with her loving family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Judi Zanaglio of Fairmont; her grandson, Theodore Zanaglio and his wife Jennifer; and five great-grandchildren, Heather Blue Zanaglio of Fairmont, Nicole Zanaglio, Rebecca Zanaglio, Richard Zanaglio, all of Pennsylvania, and Michael Zanaglio and his wife Joann of California.

Also surviving are two brothers, David Fast and his wife Deloris of Boothsville, and John Scott Fast of Fairmont; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Richards; her second husband, Scott Mundell; a grandson, Jon Zanaglio; two brothers, Hugh Fast and Frank “Beaver” Fast; and three sisters, Kathleen (Fast) Gordon, Myrtle Leona Fast and Thelma Ruth Fast.

In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, her body will be cremated.

Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, has been entrusted with arrangements.
