Garold Teagarden

Garold W. Teagarden, 70, of Burton, died Saturday (Feb. 2, 2013) at his residence.

He was born Nov. 6, 1942 at Earnshaw, a son of the late Barge Teagarden and Mary Efaw Teagarden.

Mr. Teagarden was a retired electrician.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Earl Kiger American Legion Post No. 120 of Hundred. He also was a member of the District 31, UMWA Local No. 1648.

Garold was a Protestant by faith.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Susan Teagarden of Cypress, Texas; three brothers, Glenn Teagarden of Littleton, Marcus and Loretta Teagarden of Wileyville, and John and Judy Teagarden of Earnshaw; a brother-in-law, Paul Buege of Fairmont; a step-granddaughter, Amanda; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Helen Buege and one who died as an infant, Golda Mae Teagarden.

At the request of the deceased, his body will be cremated.

Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred is in charge of arrangements.
