Eileen Kapczynski

Eileen Marie Kapczynski, 73, of Fairmont, passed away Saturday (Jan. 5, 2013) at Fairmont General Hospital.

She was born in Marion County on July 27, 1939, a daughter of the late Russell Franklin Bunnell and Margaret Ellen (Myers) Bunnell Phillips.

Eileen worked as a housekeeping supervisor for several nursing homes in the Pittsburgh area. She had most recently been employed at the Salvation Army Thrift Store. She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting and attending Bible study classes.

She is survived by three sons, John White and Sue Martin of Fairmont, Frank Kapczynski of Carnegie, Pa., and Joe Allen Saparito and his wife Sue of Fairmont; two daughters, Karen (Kapczynski) Dunn and her husband Steve of Butler, Pa., and Denise Accord and her husband Jack of Florida; six grandchildren, Shannon White of Fairmont, Megan White of Fairmont, John Accord of Florida, Christopher Accord of Florida, Misty Saparito of Fairmont and Joe Saparito of Fairmont; and one great-grandson, Jonathan White of Fairmont.

Eileen also had many friends at Eastview Unity Apartments in the short time that she lived there, especially her close friend Faye Dodd, who assisted and cared for her during illness.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Jo White; and an aunt, Mary Fisher.

The family would like to thank the employees and staff of FMC Dialysis Center for all their care and compassion for Eileen over the last several years.

Family and friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
