On Sept. 27, 1943, Ann married Frank Retton, who preceded her in death on June 8, 2005.
Ann retired from the Marion County Board of Education in 1985 as a cook at East Fairmont High School. She previously worked at Hartley’s Department Store as a cashier until its closing. She enjoyed making Easter Bread and sharing it with her friends.
She was Catholic by faith and was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, attending Mass daily. She was a member of the Women’s Society and loved helping with the dinners they prepared.
She is survived by her daughter, Camille Casuccio and her husband George of Fairmont; and a grandson, Shawn Casuccio and his three children, Alexis, Geno and Kianna Casuccio, all of Fairmont.
Also surviving are two very special nieces, Josephine McClung and her husband James, and Jeannie Shaver and her husband George, as well as several other nieces and nephews.
Ann and Frank always considered the Greco and Merendino families as their extended families.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Tony, Angelo and Mick Daniels; and her sisters, Teresa Allevato, Louise Perry and Mae Guido. Ann was the last surviving member of her family.
In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, her body will be cremated.
