Frank L. Police, “The Sprinkler Man,” 83, of Livonia, Mich., formerly of Kingmont, passed away Saturday (June 30, 2012).

He was the loving husband of the late Louise B.; beloved father of Frank Police, the late Daniel Police, Eva T. Police, Maria (Anthony) Kraska and David Police; and proud grandfather of Shannon Police, and Steven and Angela Kraska.

Frank served as a tool maker for more than 38 years for Ford Motor Co. After his retirement, Frank began installing sprinkler systems for his family and friends. This gave Frank such enjoyment in life and soon Frank became well known as “The Sprinkler Man.”

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 11441 Hubbard Road, Livonia, Mich. Mr. Police will lie in state beginning at 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. Friends may visit Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main, Plymouth, Mich., from 1-9 p.m. Monday with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Frank will be buried next to his beloved Louise at United Memorial Gardens in Plymouth, Mich.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital-Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0421.
