Carla Jo Barrackman

Carla Jo Barrackman, 54, of Monumental Community, died Tuesday (Oct. 23, 2012) at her residence from medical issues.

She was born July 1, 1958, in Dania, Fla., a daughter of the late John Wesley McCale Jr. and Jo Ann Costello McCale. She is survived by her husband, Michael Ross Barrackman of Monumental Community.

She is survived by a son, Ryon Fuentes of Monumental Community; two daughters, Patricia Fuentes of Morgantown and Katie Golden of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Diane Clayton of Fairmont, and Tara Phillips of Bellview Community; her father and mother-in-law, John and Elmira Barrackman of Barrackville; and several nieces and nephews, including Amanda Rose of Fairmont and Brandie Towns of Fairmont.

Carla was a caregiver for the elderly and most recently employed by her loving friends Paul and Betty Graziani of Fairmont. Carla was a 1976 graduate of East Fairmont High School and attended Fairmont State College. She enjoyed all aspects of nature and outdoor living including camping, fishing and hiking. Carla cherished her dogs. She also liked painting. Carla loved to spend time with family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, from 6-9 p.m. Friday and 10-11 a.m. Saturday. The memorial service will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Janice Smith officiating. A private committal service will be held for the family at a later time.
