Richard Vernon Snider

Richard Vernon Snider, 78, of Hundred, passed away Friday (June 15, 2012) at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born June 2, 1934 at Hundred, a son of the late Floyd and Wray Byard Snider.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Kay Toothman Snider, to whom he was married for 50 years; two daughters, Tammy and husband Jerry Chiappone of Painesville, Ohio, and Susan and husband Robert Brennan of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Alessandra and Ben Chiappone of Painesville, Ohio; and two sisters, Wilma “Becky” Long and husband Paul of Newburg, Ohio, and Goldie Lee and husband Bill Adcox of Williamstown, S.C.

Richard enjoyed teasing his grandchildren. He also enjoyed farming, raising cattle and riding his four-wheeler. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from the Wetzel County Board of Education as a school bus driver.

Richard requested that there was to be no public visitation and funeral service.  Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
