Thomas Spiker

Thomas A. (Tom) Spiker, 71, went home to be with His Lord on Thursday (June 14, 2012) at his home in Crescent City, Fla.

Tom was born on July 17, 1940, to the Late John R. and Thelma (Connor) Spiker in Baxter. He is also preceded in death by his brother, William Spiker, and sister, Norma Jean Keener.

Tom attended Beulah Baptist Church in Fruitland, Fla. He was an avid reader. He enjoyed fishing and golfing and was a member of Bass Masters. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sharon K. Spiker of Crescent City, Fla.; daughters, Lori Lynn Spaller and husband Ron of Madison, Ohio, Lisa Kay Cotter and husband Kirk of Axton, Va.; brothers, Robert Spiker and wife Joyce of Washington, Pa., Gilbert Spiker of Miami Beach, Fla., Jim Spiker and wife Irene of Dale City, Va.; sisters, Betty Wilson and Vivian Roberts, both of Fairmont; and granddaughter, Lily Spaller of Madison, Ohio.

Tom’s life will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Beulah Baptist Church with Pastor Robby Paxton as officiant concluding with military honors. A service in West Virginia will be held at a later date.
