Kenneth L. Shreve, 72, of Knob Fork, died Thursday (Feb. 7, 2013) at his residence.
He was born May 9, 1940, at Jacksonburg, a son of the late Noel Clarke Shreve and Ethel Gay Ash Shreve.
Mr. Shreve was a retired oil field worker for Pennzoil.
His hobbies included farming, hunting and fishing with his sons.
Surviving are his wife, Sondra L. Cain Shreve; six sons and their spouses, Kenneth C. Shreve Sr. of Knob Fork, Timothy and Teresa Shreve of New Martinsville, Mark and Amy Shreve of Knob Fork, Donald Shreve of Hundred and his fiance Desiree Kolojay, Jonathan Shreve of Knob Fork, and Tom Shreve of New Freeport, Pa. and his fiance Betsy Six; four brothers and their spouses, Willard (Wib) Shreve and his wife Darlene, Ronnie Shreve and his wife Marsha, Rex Hickman and his wife Sharon, and Terry Hickman, all of Jacksonburg; eight grandchildren, Laken Shreve, Kenneth Shreve Jr., Timothy Shreve Jr., Lexie Shreve, Patrisha Shreve, Sam Shreve, Melony Shreve and Garrett Shreve; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy J. Yoho.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 6-9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Sunday with Evangelist Everett Shreve officiating. Interment will follow in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery near Pine Grove.
