John Beveridge

Times West Virginian

John Alan Beveridge, 61, of Rt. 1, Rivesville, passed away at his residence on Thursday (Jan. 24, 2013).

Alan was born Dec. 5, 1951, in Marion County. He was the son of the late David and Betty Beveridge.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Beveridge, and his best friend and companion, Noble. He is also survived by one sister, Beth Allen and her husband Mark of Fairmont and four daughters, Jennifer, Stephanie, Tonya and Ali.

Alan was a graduate of Fairview High School and Fairmont State College. Alan was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed shooting his bow. He was also a professional boxer in his early years.

He retired from Federal No. 2 Mines and was currently employed at Northern Mountain State Metals, Inc.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Joey Beveridge.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Second and Jasper streets, Rivesville. There will be a private family ceremony. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
