Kathleen Haught

Mae Kathleen Haught, 98, a lifetime resident of Fairview, passed away peacefully at Ruby Memorial Hospital on Sunday (Jan. 13, 2013).

Kathleen was born in Fairmont on June 2, 1914 to the late William and Mattie Hamilton Miller.

Kathleen was an 80-year member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Fairview. She was employed at Westinghouse in the Seal Beam Headlight Department during her 25 years of employment. Since retirement, she could be found needle pointing or spending time at the Fairview Senior Center. She was a 50-plus-year member of the Pythian Sisters.

Those left behind to cherish Kathleen’s memory and carry on her legacy include her two daughters, Regina White and her husband Dave of Morgantown, and Dolores Dresser of Palm Springs, Calif.; two sisters, Marjorie Balderson of Alliance, Ohio, and Mrs. Gerald and Elizabeth Shanks of Core; three grandchildren, Kathy Whitehead and her husband Robert of Carmel, Calif., Rick Dresser of Henderson, Nev., and Kimberly Farmer and her husband Rick of Marion, Ohio; five great-grandchildren, Josh Farmer, Griffin, Allison and Rosie Whitehead, and Ryan Dresser; and several other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Haught.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Kathleen’s memory to St. Paul Baptist Church at P.O. Box 277, Fairview, WV 26570.

Friends may call at McCulla Funeral Home from 1-2:30 p.m. Thursday for the funeral service with Dr. Rick Farmer and the Rev. Larry Harker officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
