FAIRMONT — Harry Edward Morris, 90, passed away Tuesday (Jan. 8, 2013) in Cedar City, Utah.

He was born June 1, 1922 in Denver, Colo., to Jesse Burl and Nellie Kathryn Dulin Morris. He married Lorraine Mae Bushell on Feb. 22, 1942 in Yuma, Ariz.

Harry joined the U.S. Navy after high school. He served in World War II as a motor machinists mate second class stationed out of San Diego, Calif. His service took him to the Pacific Theater. He later worked with military logistics for the U.S. government. He worked for the Department of Defense in Morocco, Germany and Alaska. He also served as a volunteer at the National Park Service at Lake Mead, Nev. He enjoyed photography, cinematography, fishing and traveling.

Harry is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his four children, Edward (Linda) Morris of Richmond, Va., Lawrence (Mary Frances) Morris of Kingsport, Tenn., Marietta (Robert, deceased) Mort of Placentia, Calif., and Elizabeth (Tom) Bear of Fairbanks, Alaska; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Jesse and Nellie Dulin Morris.
