Geneva Martin

Geneva E. Martin, 93, of Route 1, Salem, departed this life Saturday (Dec. 29, 2012) at United Hospital Center.

She was born Dec. 27, 1919 in Marion County, a daughter of the late James S. and Rusha Maebelle Edgell Talkington.

Her husband, Robert L. Martin Sr., preceded her in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Patricia (Terrell) Bennett of Utica, Ohio; three sons, Gary Martin, Joseph Martin and Robert L. Martin Jr., all of Salem; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Martin was retired from Clarksburg Casket and Maiden Form as a seamstress. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

At Geneva’s request, she was cremated. Expressions of sympathy may be extended to the family at www.harbertfuneralhome.com.
