Christina A. “Christi” McIntosh

FAIRMONT — Christina A. “Christi” McIntosh, 45, of Fairmont, died Monday (March 15, 2010) at UPMC Shadyside Pittsburgh, Pa. 

Christi was born in New York June 5, 1964, the daughter of Marie Carmella Sacchetti McIntosh and the late Robert Nelson McIntosh, who died July 25, 1985.

Christi was a graduate Fairmont State University, employed at Vision Health Care in Fairmont, a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, former second grade CCD teacher for 21 years, devoted daughter, sister and aunt, proud of her Italian heritage and played a significant part in the life of her nephews.

In addition to her mother, Christi is survived her brother, James McIntosh and her sister in-law Jennifer of Scott Depot, sister, Anita McIntosh Ruggiero of Atlanta; brother, Leonard A. McIntosh of Fairmont; and sister, Leslie A. McIntosh of Fairmont; five nephews, Samuel, Nicholas and Michael Ruggiero of Atlanta and Thomas and Anthony McIntosh of Scott Depot; two uncles, Leonard and John Sacchetti of Fairmont; an aunt, Marian Sacchetti of Fairmont; numerous cousins; and several living relatives in Italy. Special friends, Barbara, Tonya, Michaela, Linda, Lisa, Denean and Sherri also survive.

In addition to her father, Christi was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Matteo and Antonetta Sacchetti; her paternal grandparents, Juanita and Wesley McIntosh; a brother in-law, Samuel J. Ruggiero; uncles, James and Mario Sacchetti; aunts, Carol McIntosh Friend and Joan and Helen Sacchetti. 

Friends and family may call at Domico Funeral Home in Fairmont from 1 to 8 p.m. today. A vigil service will be at 4 p.m. today in the funeral home with Sister Stella Cronauer officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Richard Ulam O.S.B. as celebrant and Father Casey Mahony as co-celebrant. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Samuel, Nicholas, Michael Ruggiero, C.J. Pagliaro, Carmen Pagliaro and Cole Daughtery.
