FAIRMONT — West Fairmont Middle School finished off its second undefeated season in school history with a 40-6 rout of East Fairmont Junior High School Thursday at Fairmont State University’s Duvall-Rosier Field.
The Polar Cubs’ big three offensive weapons — quarterback Austin Norman, running back Ryder Skarzinski and tight end Neil Scherich — proved too much for the Hornets to handle.
“I thought East played a good game,” WFMS head coach Ken Beerbower said. “They had a great scheme and hit us hard early. Ryder’s a player and Neil is a great receiver and Austin can really throw the ball.”
