WORTHINGTON —
It’s a dangerous job being a firefighter, but for one local 19-year-old, being a firefighter is her life.
Sarah Knight has been volunteering at the Worthington Volunteer Fire Department since she was 16 years old and said every day is different.
“I’ve been here for three and a half years, and you think you’ve seen a lot until you see something that’s really crazy,” she said.
Knight’s day can be long due to the fact she is also a full-time student at Pierpont Community & Technical College as well as a volunteer firefighter. Studying to be a paramedic, she uses her volunteering to gain experience.
