Input about education facilities is sought

FAIRMONT — If you have ever wanted to tell the county board of education how you feel about renovating or replacing schools, your chance is coming in the next two weeks.

Every 10 years, the board of education updates its Comprehensive Educational Facilities Plan. That’s the guiding document when it comes to repairing and replacing schools and the order in which that happens.

If you’ve ever wondered why certain schools are chosen when it’s time to ask for state money to repair or replace a school, it’s because of the priority list in the CEFP.

The Marion County Board of Education wants the community’s input on the CEFP, so there are three forums scheduled this month.
