FAIRMONT — For Valentine’s Day, Mannington Main Street is looking for the person with the “sweetest lips.”
Mannington Main Street is sponsoring a brand new holiday activity called the “Sweetest Lips in Town Contest.”
Becky Williams, who became the organization’s program manager at the end of January, read about a Valentine’s Day contest held in Franklin, Va., and thought it sounded like fun and would be a good fit for Mannington. Similar contests have been held in different places, but never before in North Central West Virginia.
The contest kicked off on Friday. Individuals have until 11 a.m. on Feb. 12 to stop by participating Mannington businesses, marked with static window clings of lips, to get an official entry form that they can kiss. The majority of the shops will display their collection of lip prints, Williams said.
