Counselor: Show students ‘what’s possible’

FAIRMONT — Middle school guidance counselors have several duties, and they all help students in some way.

Charlene Sullivan is the counselor at East Fairmont Junior High School. Her job keeps her alert.

“Who knows what might walk through my door?” Sullivan said. “I’m always on my toes.”

Sullivan said she sees everyone from students and faculty to even parents.

“You name it, it has probably walked through this door at some point in time and at all ages,” she said.

Starting her days at 7 a.m., Sullivan is at school to help students with any problem they are having outside or inside school.
