FAIRMONT —
The Marion County Citizens for the Bond Committee invites community members to attend some upcoming informational meetings.
Mary Jo Thomas, committee chair, said representatives will present the facts and answer questions about the proposed school bond during events with several different groups next week. Anyone is welcome to come to these open meetings.
On Monday, Oct. 15, committee members will give presentations at 6:30 p.m. at the Farmington Town Hall and at 7 p.m. during the Mannington City Council meeting. They will also speak at the Rivesville Community Building at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, and during the Pleasant Valley City Council meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Hearing set for murder suspects
The two men indicted in the 1974 triple Windmill Park murders will share a pretrial hearing on June 25.
According to records obtained at the Marion County Circuit Court, a hearing for Eddie Jack Washington and Phillip Reese Bush is set for 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, in front of Circuit Judge Michael Aloi. -
