FAIRMONT —
Marion County deputies arrested a Fairmont man Thursday on five counts of attempted or fraudulent use of an access device, a felony charge associated with identity theft.
Jesse Layne Fetty, 20, of Fairmont, is accused of breaking into a vehicle the night of Oct. 7 and stealing the owner’s wallet and mp3 player. According to the complaint, the victim told deputies that his credit cards were in the wallet.
Deputies investigated and allegedly found that a card belonging to the victim had been used twice at Walmart, once at the Circle K on Morgantown Avenue, once at the Shell station on East Grafton Road and once at Pizza Hut. Only the purchases at Shell and Pizza Hut went through, the complaint says.
