FAIRMONT —
Two seats are up on the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, as Justice Robin Jean Davis’ 12-year term is up and Justice Thomas E. McHugh has chosen to not run for re-election after serving from 1980-97 and 2008-12.
Davis, a Democrat originally from Boone County, is the only incumbent among two Democratic and two Republican candidates. The top two vote getters statewide will earn 12-year terms on the court.
The following are brief bios of the candidates and their platforms.
