Forum for candidates set Sunday and Monday

For politicians seeking national, state, local offices

FAIRMONT — With a little more than two weeks left until the election, most people think they know who they support to be president of the United States.

But there are a lot more races on the ballot this November, and many of them will have an impact more close to home.

On Sunday and Monday, beginning at 6 p.m. both nights at Westchester Village, TV-19 in conjunction with the Times West Virginian, Marion County Chamber of Commerce, Marion County Historical Society, Marion County NAACP, Greater Fairmont Council of Churches and the Communities of Shalom will be hosting a candidate forum for politicians seeking national, state and local offices.

Rev. D.D. Meighen, TV-19 director and one of the event organizers, said that more speakers have been invited than were invited to a forum held before the primaries.
